I just spent the last half an hour googling Christiane Amanpour. What an amazing lady. I read this article in the NYT which is what sparked my interest. Plus Rory talks about her all the time on Gilmore Girls, which of course gives her more credibility in my eyes :) But I think it's amazing that she worked her way up from the bottom and is now one of the most recognizable news anchors in the world.
