Last minute my friend Jamie and I ended up doing Candace's hair. It was an interesting experience, but it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. (Mostly thanks to Jamie).
Since it was free slurpee day we couldn't resist a pit stop at 7 Eleven.
This is my very favorite picture of the whole day. Jamie took it and I think it perfectly captures the emotion of a wedding day. How cute are they. And Candace looks beautiful.
They got married in the Draper temple at 4:00 and it was SO windy- as evidenced by my bangs blowing everywhere. I sure am going to miss living with this girl. BUT Jamie and I get to be roommates in the Fall and it is going to be fabulous.

Oh, she's so cute. Love the dress! And don't fret, I had plenty of BFF/roomies that left me for their man! But I know the feeling where you're so happy for your friend, but feel just a teeny bit...abandoned. I always seemed to land in with another amazing friend. Made for lots of great friends now at this point in my life!!
I get a sense of satisfaction at the end of a full day of hard work, team effort, shared joy, and positive results. I know I've tried to do my best and hopefully made a positive (and maybe even lasting) difference in someone's life. I think you feel the same about serving your friend on her wedding day, even though you'll miss her. That's what friends are for...they sacrifice for each other. You two will stay in touch from time to time, but things will never be quite the same, as she has a new #1 priority role in helping to make a new successful family.
